This August, dive into our exciting new fundraising challenge – Swim for Compton!
Choose your own fun swimming challenge to complete within the month, and swim at your own pace, in your own way.
Whether it’s a few lengths in your local pool, a wild swim in open water, or a splash in the sea with the kids!
Swim for Compton is a family-friendly way to stay active and support local people.
Set your own goals for your August swim challenge!
Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer, a social ‘swimbler’ or just want an enjoyable way to fundraise with the whole family, Swim for Compton is a great way to have fun and support your local community.
Whether you want to swim 40 lengths over four weeks or take on the ultimate challenge of swimming the equivalent of the 21-mile English Channel (that’s 1,320 lengths!) it’s up to you!
Whether you’re in a swimsuit, wetsuit, or armbands, every stroke helps raise funds for people living with life limiting conditions in the local community.


Entry for Swim for Compton is free, all we ask is that you aim to raise £150 to support our vital services in the community.
Everyone who signs up will receive a swim tracker and a Compton Care wristband. Those who raise £100 or more will receive a Compton Care swimming cap to complete their challenge in style.
You’ll also have access to our friendly Swim for Compton Facebook community where you can share your progress.
We can’t wait to see the lengths people will go to to support us!

Here are some suggestions if you’re looking for ‘swim-spiration’
- 40 lengths over the four weeks
- A family relay
- Pick a different open water spot each week
- Swim a mile – 64 lengths*
- Swim Coniston: 5.25 miles/8.5km – 340 lengths*
- Swim Windemere: 11 miles/17.7km – 708 lengths*
- Swim the English Channel: 21 miles/33km -1,320 lengths*
*Based on a 25 metre pool.
