Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge 2025

14th June 2025

Be a Hiking Hero

All about the challenge

Compton Care and Wolves Foundation have joined forces for an unforgettable Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge this summer.

Taking place on Saturday 14 June, the funds raised from this event will be split equally between both charities to support our vital work in different communities across Wolverhampton and the Black Country.

The 24 mile circular route challenge, which is being led by the Sky Blue Adventures team, will start at 7am with the first climb of the day on Pen y Ghent.  After a lunch stop around 12pm to refuel, the next summit will be Whernside, followed by the last climb of the day on Ingleborough. Arriving back into Horton-in-Ribblesdale at around 7pm.

Compton Care

Vicky's story

As a Hiking Hero, you will be helping Compton Care continue to be there for people with life limiting conditions and their families when they need us most.

Vicky took part in last years hike, which was to Snowdon in memory of her mom, Joyce.

Compton Care holds a very special place in my heart as my beautiful mom, Joyce, was under Compton’s care and I will be forever thankful. To anybody considering signing up I would say just go for it! I think it’s good to push yourself and get out your comfort zone!
Wolves Foundation

John's story

With participants ranging from one month to 100 years old, Wolves Foundation’s work is delivered across the city, all year round improving the physical and mental health, personal development and life choices of people across Wolverhampton.

People like John, who benefitted from its Head for Health project.

Without the Wolves Foundation, I wouldn’t be here today.

£100

could enable a nurse to make a home visit to a patient, helping them to manage their symptoms and coordinate their care.

£15

enables Wolves Foundation to offer 1-to-1 mentoring to help manage a young person’s behaviour and guide them on the right path

£62
